Toukon Martial Arts

We wanted to update you following the COVID-19 Government Announcement introducing a new “Rule of 6” to be implemented as of Today.

Please rest assured that this guidance does NOT affect our School or your training in any way. As we are an organised sport nothing actually changes for us but please can parents dropping off or picking up please be aware that you can not gather in large groups outside of the dojo. This can be avoided by not approaching the dojo until the session is about to start or end.

As a COVID-19 secure establishment following strict guidance and protocols, we will not be required to restrict training groups to 6, but rather continue with the strict social distancing rules we currently apply.

We have added extra punch bags and training areas allowing us to make some slight changes to class sizes;

  •  Samurais 4-7 yrs – Max. 8 students (due to the necessity that some parents attend)

  • 7yrs+ Intermediate – Max. 15 students (No parents unless prearranged)

  • 7yrs+ Advanced & Adults – Max. 12 students (Due to student size and age)

To support this, please see below official guidance offered by Sport England which states:

“The Government has confirmed that organised sports and activities that have been through return to play protocols can continue”

“People can also continue to use leisure facilities, including gyms and pools – classes within these venues can continue as they are now. People should not go to these venues socially in groups of more than six”

Reminder not to attend if:

  • You haven’t booked using MyTraining.

  • You are displaying symptoms or have been around someone who has tested positive

          Please remember to cancel your booking if you are unable to attend.

We will continue to monitor Government guidance as and when it is released in an effort to make sure our School 100% compliant meaning that both our students and staff are kept as safe as possible.

         We look forward to seeing you in class.
