Kata Workshop

APRIL 9TH
The first of our new look Kata workshops will be held on Saturday the 9th of April….
Need to learn a new Kata for your next grading?
Want to learn a new Kata to get one step ahead?
Or do you simply love Kata!
Then these session’s are for you…
Session 1 will be about learning that next Heian Kata or ensuring you stay on top of your existing knowledge..
Session 2 will always feature a “Kata of the month”… first month is Kanku Dai.
We will be able to explore these in more depth than our usual classes allow and address any difficulties you are having.
Who is it for?
9th kyu and above may attend first session but please ask about eligibility for 2nd session if unsure.

Easter Holiday Club

APRIL 19TH, 20TH & 21ST

Due to many requests and the success of our summer holiday clubs we are holding a 3-day Spring camp during the Easter break – This is for children 7yrs+
…. unfortunately due to space we have a very limited capacity and they always sell out fast so book now to avoid missing out ⤵️
The kids absolutely love these sessions, and we get the opportunity to have heaps of fun all only but also make huge improvements in their ability as martial artists 😁
🎾🏹🏏⚽️ The camps will include multi sports and arts & crafts along with themed workshops on anti-bullying, health & nutrition, and mindset & motivation 🎾🏹🏏⚽️
We will also have grading acceleration workshops each day so that your child is more prepared for their next belt 🥊🥋
The real benefit of these days is the amount of extra time we get the spend on improving balance, flexibility, and coordination etc that will have benefits on their martial arts ability and other areas of life.

Stripe belt Karate grading

APRIL 23RD

Our criteria for passing these belts at Toukon Martial Arts is very high which can make these grades quite difficult to obtain, particularly for young children.

It is with this in mind that we introduced three grades that need to be achieved before being eligible to attend a 9th kyu grading (Orange belt).

This system is already in place at many other Karate academies. The main difference being that they class it as a full grade and therefore usually charge full price.

At ToukonMA we have decided to approach this slightly differently.

In all our grades prior to 9th kyu (12th,11th & 10th Kyu) we charge a small fee of £10 to cover the cost of belts, certificates, and other costs.
